Outdoor Programming

The Rose Circle provides outdoor programming and nature based rite of passage experiences for girls throughout Jackson County.

In August of 2007, the Rose Circle provided a pilot weekend campout at Earth Teach Forest Park.

Thanks to a generous grant from Women Living Leadership: A Branch of the United Way, in August of 2009, the Rose Circle launched Camp Luna, a nature based rite of passage experience for 20 girls throughout the valley between the ages of 13 - 17 years.

Camp Luna 2010 took place June 16-19. Click here for more information about Camp Luna.

Camp Luna 2011 will be held Thursday, August 18 through Sunday, August 22. Let us know of your interest.

Mentoring Opportunities

Community Based Circles for Girls

The Rose Circle receives Registrations from girls ages 12-17 and organizes circles who then meet every other week for two hours during the school year. Each girls' circle is guided by two women Mentors who are in turn supported by the larger Rose Circle community.

One-on-One Mentor Relationships

The Rose Circle supports and matches up men and women who want to be one-on-one mentors for boys and girls.

Schools Project - FutureQuest

The Rose Circle mentors facilitated boys and girls circles in four schools in the Phoenix/Talent School District. The project starting in the Fall of 2008 and continued through the 2010-2011 school year. Read a testimonial from one of the School Principals who particiated in the program.
