Mentor Trainings
The Rose Circle provides Mentor Trainings to men and women who want to deepen
their understanding of the art of mentoring, become a Mentor through one of the
Rose Circle opportunities, or enhance one's skills for an existing position or
mentoring relationship.In addition to providing weekend intensive trainings,
monthly Mentor Circles are held for mentors to continue to develop skills, give
and receive support, share experiences, and grow together in this important work.
Next Co-ed Mentor Training
October 9-10, 2010
Saturday & Sunday, 9 am--5 pm
The training includes mentor resource materials, assistance in placement and on-going mentor support.

Outdoor Programming
The Rose Circle provides outdoor programming and nature based rite of passage
experiences for girls throughout Jackson County.
In August of 2007, the Rose Circle provided a pilot weekend campout at Earth Teach Forest
Park.
In August of 2009, the Rose Circle launched Camp Luna, a nature based rite of passage
experience for 20 girls throughout the valley between the ages of 12 - 17 years.

Mentoring Opportunities
Community Based Circles for Girls
The Rose Circle receives Registrations
from girls ages 12-17
and organizes circles who then meet
every other week for two hours during the school year.
Each girls' circle is guided by two women Mentors who are in turn
supported by the larger Rose Circle community.
One-on-One Mentor Relationships
The Rose Circle supports and matches up men and women who
want to be one-on-one mentors for boys and girls.
Schools Project - FutureQuest
In partnership with the Phoenix Counseling Center, The Rose Circle
mentors began facilitating boys and girls circles in four schools in the
Phoenix/Talent School District. Starting in the Fall of 2008, this project is
continuing through the 2009-2010 school year. Read a testimonial from one of the

Caregiver's Choice
The Rose Circle is certified to be a part of this wonderful program,
providing mentors for the children of incarcerated parents. If you are a
Guardian or Caregiver of a child in this position, contact us to learn how to apply
for this service.
