The life of a parent can frequently be overwhelming. Traditionally, in many societies around the world including our own, parents were supported by other adults – aunts, uncles, neighbors, and friends – who mentored children on their way to adulthood. The Rose Circle Mentoring Network trains adult volunteers to be safe, responsible, and professional mentors through the use of current best practices and evidence-based approaches.
Would your child benefit from the presence of another caring adult in his or her life? As mentors take our trainings and pass our screening process, we match girls and boys with women and men in one-to-one mentor relationships.
“As a parent, it felt so amazing to have the added support of a trusted adult.”
– Parent of a one-to-one Mentee
Our one-to-one matches are long-term, intergenerational relationships that teach responsibility, instill self-esteem and self-confidence, and encourage the development of assets that will serve the young person throughout their life. We strive to make matches based on similar interests and geographic area.
Parents support the mentoring match through monthly check-ins and participating in special events. We ask for a minimum commitment of one year for all individual mentoring matches.
Thanks to the support of our generous donors and funders, we are able to offer mentoring services on a first-come, first-served basis at no charge to our youth and family clients.
