“I think the best thing about having a mentor is that you just always have someone to talk to… [I’ve learned that] there is always going to be someone there for me no matter what.”   – Youth Mentee

A mentor is a friend and a role model. A mentor is someone you can do fun activities with. A mentor is someone you can trust.

A Rose Circle mentor is an adult that you spend time with each week, or for at least four hours per month. We make every effort to match you with someone who shares similar interests and personal background, so you can do things that you like to do. Mentors and youth go on walks in the park, go to the mall, attend fun cultural events, ride bicycles, and do other fun activities in the local community. Our mentoring matches ideally last for one year or longer, which gives you plenty of time to get to know each other and become good friends. A mentor is there to support you to be the best person you can be, to achieve your goals, and to be a positive influence in your life.
